Dr. Mark D. Klaiman is the co-founder of Point Performance. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Columbia University. He is board certified and has been a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 1994. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Klaiman was a visiting associate in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. He has lectured extensively over the years and has numerous writings and publications focused on the evaluation and management of musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries. Dr. Klaiman received his medical acupuncture training through the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 1995 and is recognized as a leading provider of medical acupuncture in the Washington DC region. Named by his peers as one of Washingtonian magazine’s “Top Docs” for the past 10 years, Dr. Klaiman has nurtured a successful private practice since 1996 and is recognized throughout the region for his skills in diagnosis, medical acupuncture and treating acute and chronic spinal pain, sports injuries, soft tissue disorders and arthritis. Dr. Klaiman’s expertise lies in coordinating multiple disciplines and modalities to support optimal pain reduction. He lives with his wife and two children in Washington DC, has a long standing commitment to fitness and is an avid participant in skiing, golf and cycling.
